Free echocardiography simulators

Train your echo visual assessment with exact answers.

Three free simulators for all cardiology staff! Every case is generated from a computer model of a beating heart, so you are scored against the true answer, not an observer’s opinion.

Your first 3 cases need no account. Educational simulation to use under the supervision of a clinical tutor — not for clinical use.

LV function

Visual EF and wall motion

Cine loops in the parasternal long and short axis and the apical 4-, 2- and 3-chamber views, with the true EF and every segment’s grade known.

  • Estimate EF by eye in 5% ranges, with the BSE categories
  • Score wall motion on the 17-segment bullseye
  • Coronary territories, aneurysm, thrombus, Takotsubo, LBBB, HCM and more

RV function

The right ventricle

An RV-focused and a standard apical 4-chamber, a short-axis and a parasternal long-axis view, with TAPSE, FAC, RV diameters and wall thickness known exactly.

  • Is the RV dilated or hypertrophied?
  • Overall, radial and longitudinal systolic function
  • Septal flattening, McConnell’s sign, RV infarction and hypertrabeculation

Stress echo

Dobutamine stress echo

Rest, low-dose, peak and recovery loops in five views, with heart rate, blood pressure, symptoms and ECG at every stage.

  • Grade wall motion at every stage, and the WMSI
  • Ischaemia by territory, multivessel disease and high-risk features
  • Viability, ECG traps and a structured DSE report

How the training works

1. Watch the loops

Each case plays simulated cine loops in the standard views, like a study on the cart.

2. Make your call

Estimate the EF, grade the segments, judge the RV, or read the stress study stage by stage.

3. See the exact answer

Instant feedback against the true values, with guides that explain what you missed.

  • Practice and exam modes. Practise at your own pace, then sit an exam. A score of 90% or more earns a certificate of the level reached.
  • Progress that follows you. Your results stay in the browser; sign in and they are saved to your account across devices.
  • Guides for every topic. Visual EF, 17-segment scoring, RV size and function, septal flattening, the DSE protocol, viability and the stress ECG.

Questions

Are the simulators free?

Yes. All three simulators are free to use.

Do I need an account?

Not for your first 3 cases. After that, sign in to keep practising: it is free, with no password, just a one-time code by email, and it saves your progress across devices.

How are the answers known exactly?

Every case is generated from a computer model of a beating heart, so the true ejection fraction, the grade of every segment and the right-ventricular measurements are known, rather than estimated by an observer.

Is a certificate a qualification?

No. A certificate shows the level reached in a simulator. It is not a clinical qualification or accreditation.

Can I use it for clinical decisions?

No. Educational simulation to use under the supervision of a clinical tutor — not for clinical use.
